Just a little hobby of mine - taking some good song, finding a matching movie for it and combing them together as a music video. Takes a lot of time (one week at minimum), but I think the result is worth it. Please, don't forget to leave your comments - it's really the only reward I'm looking for.

The actual song is called 9-29-045 and is over 15 min. long, but I only took the last part of it. Somehow it always made me think of Band Of Brothers, so in the end I decided to make a video for it - the way I envision it. I did my best to avoid the glorifying of war and battles, instead focusing on quieter moments and people...

Really, this Evergrey's song and this movie were made for each other. If you haven't seen the movie, look out for the clues in the video - it should be possible to figure out the plot. The monologue in the middle I changed to the monologue from the movie, which came out rather cool, I think.

Karnataka - The Storm
|
Jean-Pierre Jeunet's (the director of 'Amelie') movies always have amazing cinematography, and this one surpasses them all. And combining it with this song was quite natural - they share the same atmosphere and the same beauty. I had to change the ending, though, which was considerably less sad in the movie.

I've always been fascinated by Indians - their history and customs, their love for freedom and nature, and their tragic fate. For my first video I used the footage from the Into The West miniseries, which, I think, have the most accurate portrayal of Indians (and some absolutely stunning scenery).
